Quartz Crystal: Quartz is the most common and abundant mineral found on the Earth. Quartz Crystals, coming from deep within Earth's core, take over 10,000 years to form.

Crystal originates from the Greek word “crystallos” which means “clear ice”, since the ancient Greeks believed the clear rock crystals to be frozen water that came down from Mount Olympus that had turned to stone.

Quartz Crystals have been used throughout the ages for decorative purposes as well powerful healing and mediation tools. Archeologists have found crystal amulets, beads and jewelry in the ancient tombs and archeological sites throughout Europe, the Middle East, Russia, and Africa.

The Ancient Greeks reportedly used Quartz Crystals to start ceremonial fires by directing the Sun's rays through them. It was quite popular with the Romans who fashioned all types of vases, jugs, cups, and many other items made of Quartz, and 1st century Roman author and scientist, Pliny the Elder, described how they used the heat from the Sun through crystals to cauterize wounds.

Crystals were said to be used to light the dark inner chambers and tunnels during the construction of the Mystery Temples and the pyramids and as an energy force to position the sandstone blocks.

References to crystals are found in both the Old and New Testaments of the Holy Bible and in many other sacred teachings throughout the world.

There are numerous tales of how crystals were first used in the legendary lost city of Atlantis. Many of the stories tell of how the Atlantean's used Crystals to generate power for the city. Edgar Cayce mentioned the power of crystals in many of his readings and believed that a massive crystal generator is located under the Atlantic Ocean near the Bermuda Triangle, and that its electromagnetic energy is what has caused so many vessels and aircraft to go astray.

Quartz Crystals have been found in ancient Mayan and Aztec cultures as well. One of the most remarkable archeological discoveries, have been the crystal skulls. Anatomically perfect, 13 skulls have been found in Mexico, Central and South America and are believed to be between 5,000 and 36,000 years old. There are many myths and stories that the indigenous people speak of about the magical energies these skulls possess, but no one really know what they were used for or where they came from.
